This is a classic turned wood stem floor lamp from the 1930's, in original finish.  The base shows minor wear and a slight separation where the wood was pieced.  There are minor paint rubs on the stem but overall-lots of charm.  This is mostly bronze/dark gold with accents of dark brown and green.  This lamp has been cleaned and rewired-it has a double socket top.  It stands 63 inches high and the base is 11 1/2 inches wide. The lamp is shown with a custom hand sewn vintage style shade in gold and brown with embroidered details in green with touches of rose. The fabric is from a 1930's bedspread which was appliquéd and hand embroidered.  The shade is lined in off white for good light reflection and trimmed with ombre dyed fringe in coordinating colors. The sides have an overlay of vintage millinery netting. FL3171

Here is a spectacular showpiece, reminiscent of the Hollywood Regency style--in Black, ivory and gold.  This lamp is truly stunning.  The vintage 1920 floor lamp has been rewired and restored with meticulous attention to detail.  The base is 8 inches square.  The hollow stem allows for interior wiring where many from this period have solid twisted stems which require the wiring to show on the outside, all the way down.  The stem is restored in a mottled, tortoise shell effect in black, ivory and gold.  The lamp stands a total of 55 1/2 inches high and has a new socket along with the new wiring. 

The shade is custom designed and hand made just for this lamp. It is 10 inches wide at the bottom--basically square at the bottom of the petals, tapering up to curves.  The inner lining is off white for best light reflection.  The outer lining is rich gold ochre.  Over that I have layered ruched pleating from a 1880's Paris gown.  The pleating is anchored in the center with heart shaped Victorian Jet Slider Bead--also from the Paris gown--and accented with gold.  The small side panels are covered in black beaded net--all Victorian and exquisite.

Trims are various ivory and metallic golds.  The 4 inch beaded fringe is hand beaded by me and carries through all of the shade colors for a gorgeous finish.
